Kindergartens, day cares, and preschools rarely have toys that need batteries or make noise (other than computer-training toys). Children who use mostly batteryoperated toys at home may have a hard time adjusting to these settings. Be sure that your young children have non battery toys like blocks, puzzles, and puppets at home to develop imagination and problem solving skills. Such toys will likely become more desirable to a child if a parent uses them with the child.
